What is not good is very very bad. Though, as a professional actor, you are expected to be versatile to play any given role which these promising actors have just did. But as a typical Yoruba girl, this is absolutely a show of shame between pretty Actress, Peju Ajiboye and her equally young actor, Dauda Sulaimon popularly known as Gida, who were caught panting down at a hotel in a movie titled Alagbere, which they are currently shooting somewhere in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
In the yet to be completed movie, the character was married but decided to be keeping extramarital affairs with young guys in the society and she was caught in the act by her husband.
However, the below video leaked out yesterday and since then,it has made tongues wagging on social media. Some derived pleasures in watching the video while others condemned it.
Peju Ajiboye, popularly known as Ewatomi is a fast-rising Yoruba movie actress. She joined the industry in 2010. She is a National Diploma (ND) holder in Mass Communication from The Ibadan Polytechnic and before she got her HND also in Mass Communication from the Osun Polytechnic, Osun State. She visited City People office last week during which she shared her experience as a mother and wife and her challenges as an actress with NIFE KAZEEM.
It all started in 2010 when I was watching one of the Yoruba movies. While watching, I saw a number being scrolled on the screen with the message that actors and actresses were needed for audition. So, I wrote it down and called the number immediately. I explained my reason for calling. I was then told to come for an audition and I was being auditioned by Khamorudeen Zaba (a.k.a. Radika). He is my great boss till date. That was how my acting career started.
Acting is something I love so much, it flows in my veins, I can remember vividly, I was a member of a Drama Group in my church and in my secondary school days, I joined a group there too.
Well, I believe God is the judge of all things, time will tell. But I will be getting one soon, City People Magazine is honouring me in a few weeks time.
What are your challenges in the industry?
A lot, especially working with the actresses who are well known. They see you as inferior when you are an upcoming actress, while some are envious of you for no reason. Once they know that you are an upcoming actress, especially when you are good, they castigate you. I just don’t want to mention names. What has been keeping me going in the industry is patience, and endurance because I believe if you are looking for something, you won’t mind the difficulties you go through on reaching your goals, you just have to push on.
