The Peoples Democratic Party is apparently making fresh concerted moves that will see it securing and wrestling power away from the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State come March 2nd when Lagosians go to the polls.
LAGOS State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reiterated it’s confidence in winning all the coming elections in the state and, thereby, halt the long- control of National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lagos.
PDP made this assertion on Sunday in a statement made available to newsmen by its spokesperson, Mr Taofik Gani, declaring that “Tinubu’s defeat is imminent following his now obvious political disintegration that shall be confirmed on February 16th and March 2nd.”
PDP said its reaction came on the heels of the declaration by Tinubu at the APC mega rally held on Saturday for President Muhammadu Buhari at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, that Lagos was sure to win for APC.
The party, however, described Tinubu’s declaration as “boastful and ranting of a struggling losing man.”
The party posited that Tinubu represented dictatorship, saying that the APC chieftain was only desperate to hold on to Lagos because of personal interest that he needed to protect, just as it boasted that the PDP now knew about all his (Tinubu’s) “ways of winning by rigging.”
