The opposition party has planned a renewed offensive in its bid to penetrate and take over a strong base of the ruling party ahead of the general elections.
In continuation of its nationwide campaign tour of states in the geopolitical zones in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today holds rallies in Ekiti and Ondo states to canvass votes for its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The PDP will as well seek support of people of the states for election of its candidates in the national and State Assembly elections as governorship election will not hold in both states this year. The part’s presidential campaign train will move to Osun State tomorrow Tuesday, Lagos State on Thursday and Ogun State on Saturday. Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State has already hosted the South West zonal rally of the campaign.
However, the South West tour will be broken on Friday to pave way for the South East zonal rally. According to a schedule campaign itinenary made available at the PDP Presidential Campaign office, Legacy House, Abuja. Rallies will be held in the North West states of Zamfara, Kebbi, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina and Kaduna between Monday January 21 and Thursday January 24, 2019.
A rescheduled campaign rally will be held on Saturday January 26 in Makurdi, Benue State to complete the North Central zone schedule.
