The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has surprised many Nigerians with the kinds of development taking place in the ruling party especially in his home State.
Apart from the fact that he was conspicuously missing on Friday as the governorship campaign of the All Progressives Congress, APC, kicked off in Owerri, the state capital, he did not stop there.
Reports revealed that the embattled Governor allegedly tried to use his power of incumbency to deny his own party a State facility which would help in successfully hosting the flag-off of the campaign rally in the State.
Okorocha allegedly did not allow the APC candidate to use the State’s stadium for the campaign.
The National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole led other national officers of the party to the event.
Members of the party’s Executive Committee of the party in the state also shunned the event.
The event was scantily attended as only supporters of the governorship candidate, Hope Uzodinma gathered at his Campaign Headquarters along Okigwe road where the event held.
Recall that Senator Uzodimma had earlier stated that the party would mete out punishment to Okorocha and other members of the party in the State for allegedly empaking on anti-party activities.
