Pop icon Madonna has reportedly moved to Lisbon, Portugal, to allow her 11-year-old son David Banda join the youth academy at football club Benfica.
According to AFP, Madonna has been staying in a Lisbon hotel, while a house she bought in the village of Sintra, 30 kilometres away from the Portuguese capital, undergoes renovation.
The house is reportedly a 19th century building, and was put up for sale for $9 million.
The house could take 6 months to renovate, AFP reports.
Sport blogs had back in June reported that the 11-year-old David was set for a trial at the top Portuguese club Benfica.
David, whom the pop star adopted back in 2006, is 1 of 4 children the she adopted from Malawi.
